Meet the owner

Dr. Sabrina Thorpe

"I have been practicing in southeast Wisconsin since I graduated from Carroll University in 2016. I have a variety of experience in the physical therapy field working with clients across the lifespan and with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions. I am PCES certified (pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise specialist), have completed training to be able to provide pelvic floor physical therapy and craniosacral therapy techniques, and I am a level one credentialed clinical instructor. I have several years of pediatrics experience, particularly with infants and NICU graduates. I have developed a strong passion for serving women during the childbearing year and beyond through my own journey through motherhood. My goal is to make sure women feel supported and nurtured, as well as show them the strength that comes with motherhood. I want to equip families with the tools they need to support the new life they’ve brought into the world and keep the whole family happy and healthy. As a mother myself, I have been in your shoes. I’ve been through the struggle of a child admitted to the NICU. I’ve had both c-section and vaginal deliveries in the hospital and at home. I understand the unique challenges mothers face in the postpartum period regardless of their how and where they delivered. I am passionate about advocating for you and providing nurturing care so that you can be the best mother you can be during this time of change. In my personal life, I am a wife and a mom to three beautiful girls. In my free time, you will find me spending time with my husband and kids, moving and shaking at Zumba, or reading a good book." - Dr. Sabrina Thorpe PT, DPT, PCES

Healing Philosophy

The body is full of innate wisdom and is capable of miraculous healing. Sometimes though, it needs a gentle nudge in the right direction. Rather than turning to pharmaceuticals or surgical intervention, the first step should be looking to use natural means to support the body on it's healing journey. Physical therapy is a non-invasive practice that supports the body's innate healing capabilities to get you feeling and moving better. Prevention and preparation are also key for healthy and successful journeys through pregnancy and postpartum. Birth does not have to be mysterious or frightening, nor should it be! Being equipped with the knowledge of what happens to the body during pregnancy and birth, and participating in targeted prevention and preparation activities, can help you to achieve the birth and recovery that you desire.

Mission and Values

Holistic Family's mission is to provide physical therapy and wellness services to the family unit, with specialized focus on moms and their babies, so that families can thrive during the childbearing year and beyond. Holistic Family's values are simple: Family is the foundation of all things, and nurturing that foundation so it can grow and flourish is an absolute honor. Every person has the right to direct and participate in their care without oversight or limitations from a third-party entity as they pursue health and wellness for themselves and their loved ones. Freedom to choose and have ultimate authority over one's body, coupled with client and family education, creates empowered and healthy families.

Commitment to quality and transparency

Holistic Family Physical Therapy and Wellness is excited to offer services on a self-pay basis. The involvement of third party payors, such as insurance companies, creates a number of roadblocks to quality care. Providing quality care is of the utmost importance, and the practice is not willing to compromise on quality. With Holistic Family, there are no financial surprises. Without the involvement of third party payors, you receive higher quality care with transparent pricing. This is how health care should be. Interested in pursuing reimbursement for services directly from your insurance company? A superbill can be provided upon request.
